The circle is full!

The reactions crowd the social media acounts, especially Twitter with hashtags trending such as #Encounter, #JusticeforPriyankaReddy, #HyderabadPolice, #JusticeForDisha, #JusticeServed etc. Since morning people have expressed their views on the work of Hyderabad Police since the news of the encounter of four accused in the rape and murder of Telangana Vet has hit the electronic and social media.
Mohammed Arif, Naveen, Shiva and Chennakeshavulu were killed in police encounter at Chatanpally, Shadnagar in the wee hours on Friday between 3 am to 6am.
Mixed reactions are pouring in from across the country on various social media websites and also in person. People are talking about the much needed action at their work place, tea kiosks and even at home. The way it happened makes one believe that the life does come to a full circle and the justice is served where the things began.


The timeline of the incidents in the case is as follows:

Nov 27, 2019: The young vet went missing from Shamshabad toll plaza.

Nov 28: Her charred body was found at an underpass near Chattanpalli in Shadnagar and was identified.

Nov 29: Two truck drivers and two cleaners were held by police. Probe revealed that victim died of asphyxiation.

Nov 30: The four accused were produced in court and later shifted to judicial custody. They were later shifted to Chanchalguda Central jail.

Dec 1: Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao instructed officials to set up a fast-track court.

Dec 2: A petition was filed by police to seek custody of accused.

Dec 4: Seven day police custody to the accused was granted.

Dec 6: All four accused were killed in encounter by Telangana police at the exact same spot where the veterinarian went missing as the accused tried to flee the crime scene as the police were re-enacting the incident.

Family members of the young woman veterinarian brutally reacted with joy to news that all four accused were killed in what the police say was an encounter. The victim’s father said his daughter’s soul must be at peace now. He congratulated the Telanagana government and police. Her sister said she was very happy, adding that the police’s action would serve as an example.
Amid questions being raised on circumstances surrounding the encounter deaths of the four accused in the gang rape and murder case of the veterinarian in Hyderabad, Nirbhaya’s parents (Victim of 2012 rape) also welcomed the move .

The reactions are mixed, some are hailing the encounter and hinting at the fact that the justice system is very slow that the victims never get the justice.
Some people on the other hand are not just bringing the human rights in the way but are also making it a point to add that this is not the way that the things must have taken place.
It is now for the people to decide their reaction on the incident, but the fact that the circle is now full cannot be denied or ignored.
